Digital

Modern digital experiences built through scalable design systems, responsive content, and UX thinking.

Overview

I led the design coordination for Hymans Robertson’s large-scale website, managing thousands of static and motion assets across more than 150 pages to create a modern, user-friendly experience. The project involved organising and sizing over 1,000 staff images, selecting imagery that complemented the brand’s dynamic angled pattern and colour palette, and maintaining consistency across icons, layouts, and digital assets. Coordinating content and assets across multiple teams was a key challenge, so I developed a detailed project plan to manage what was needed, when it was required, and how it would be delivered efficiently while maintaining design quality throughout the site.

Finished website

The website successfully launched across more than 150 pages, bringing together thousands of static and motion assets into one cohesive digital experience. The project helped modernise Hymans Robertson’s online presence and established a clearer, more consistent approach to digital design across the business.

Ryan played a pivotal role in the website project, particularly in the design elements. His contributions were instrumental in ensuring we successfully launched the website, and I hugely valued his support and input throughout the project

Interactive documents

I led the setup of the following interactive documents, ensuring full responsiveness on web and mobile. Using digital best practices, I optimised layouts and helped the firm adopt more modern, user-friendly digital experiences.

Ryan worked quickly and effectively on the Pay Gap report, keeping us in the loop about progress (which was quick). He stuck to the brief, suggested and implemented improvements, including around navigation, accessibility and SEO, which was much appreciated

Digital Apps

I worked with L&G on the UX, design, and structure of the Retirement Living Standards calculator, helping savers understand the cost of different retirement lifestyles. The tool translates complex lifestyle and cost data into a clear, approachable experience, with filters for location, relationship status, tax, and housing circumstances. I designed a table-based layout, structured the tool into two sections for clarity, and collaborated closely with development on interactions and page flow.

Multiple rounds of usability testing informed refinements, resulting in a responsive, easy-to-use calculator that lets users customise costs and instantly see updated totals. The final tool was highly praised by both users and the client for its clarity, usability, and impact.

I wanted to let you know that L&G have won the PLSA ‘Fintech Innovation’ award for the adoption of the Retirement Living Standards. Our submission centred around the tool you built for us as well as Virtual Reality and Video Pension Benefit.

I didn’t want you hearing it second hand next week though given all the great work Hymans did on this. I hope that’s brought some cheer on a Friday, we are absolutely delighted to win this
