Italian Aroma Coffee
A refreshed brand identity and supporting materials for a well-established coffee brand recognised across the Glasgow area.
Overview
Italian Aroma Coffee approached us to refresh and unify their brand across all assets, including identity, social media, van graphics, packaging, cups, and in-store materials. As a well known coffee brand in Glasgow with strong Italian heritage, the aim was to create a cohesive presence that reflected both quality and authenticity.

Challenge
The task was to modernise the brand while preserving its traditional roots and local recognition. With many cafés stocking the coffee across the city, the identity needed to work consistently across physical spaces, vehicles, packaging, and digital channels, while strengthening visibility in a competitive market.
Design process
The concept drew on Italian café culture and Glasgow’s long standing Italian community. A distinctive classic exterior light was introduced for cafés stocking the coffee, creating a recognisable marker across the city and reinforcing brand presence at street level. This idea was supported by a refined visual identity applied consistently across vans, cups, signage, and social media to build a unified and authentic brand experience.
The result is a confident, cohesive brand that celebrates Italian heritage while strengthening visibility throughout Glasgow. The system works across every asset, from café exteriors to delivery vans, helping Italian Aroma Coffee stand out and reinforcing its position as a major local coffee brand.

Gretna Green Famous Blacksmiths Shop
Italian Aroma Coffee often stocked products in large public spaces, including cafés at heritage sites and well known landmarks. One opportunity was Gretna Green Famous Blacksmiths Shop, where I visited the site to assess the environment, measure key areas, and determine the most effective placement for signage within budget while maximising visibility.
The project required balancing brand presence with sensitivity to the historic surroundings. By analysing visitor flow and sightlines, I identified locations that would capture attention without disrupting the character of the space.
It also provided an opportunity to respond to the Gretna Green marriage theme. Graphics and messaging were developed to reflect the romantic, playful spirit of the location, creating something distinctive and locally relevant while remaining consistent with the brand.
