AI ART - THE FUTURE?

21.10.2022

Suddenly AI can create social media posts, blogs and even books based on key prompts you give. You can generate a face to speak any content you want and art can be created via certain key words.

Today I'm going to look into AI generated art, and if it's something illustrators should be worried about.

You may have guessed that the featured artwork for this blog is AI generated, my keywords in creating this are 'Hogwarts invaded by zombies' 'Horror' 'Misty' and 'Night scene'.

Overall this is extremely impressive on first glance and has created exactly what I asked for, minus a few odd shapes such as the birds in the sky and a few spots that would need tweaked.

I'M MARRIED!

21.10.2022

After proposing last year in Orkney, I am now married!

The wedding took place at Òran Mór, a venue in the west end of Glasgow known for it's amazing murals created by artist Alasdair Gray.

I decided to create all the design elements needed for the wedding, so picked a celestial concept to match the décor...

So what if we use photos of everyday scenery? does that transition better? For this example I'm using a photograph of my work office.

For my first example I typed the keywords 'Derelict Building' 'Vegetation' and used a paint-block art style.

I had the idea to generate this 8 times, and then turn the 8 images into a animated gif, overall the outcome is quite striking and I'm shocked at how well the AI generated artwork tool works on non-human images.

'Ancient Castle' 'Old' as the keywords:
