Provenance is everything.
From the family home in Portree on the Isle of Skye, we have created a spirit which we are proud to call our own. Distilling this beautiful craft gin anywhere else but here on Skye was never in question. As part of EW:DM I helped work on the branding, social media content, point of sale, packaging, advertisements, website design and helped develop the bottle. Launched in early February 2017, this is a highly anticipated gin brand. It’s the only gin to come from the Isle of Skye. Made with the fresh waters from the Storr Lochs, its unique and has real provenance. We wanted to get across each bottle is personal, from the owners foraging in the fields of Skye to collect ingredients, to the labels signed individually and hand-placed onto the bottles.
When tasked with designing the bottle for our craft gin, we drew inspiration from the captivating beauty of the Old Man of Storr, a beloved landmark of the Isle of Skye. The majestic and rugged silhouette of this iconic rock formation became the foundation for our bottle's shape. We wanted the bottle to exude strength and boldness, much like the untamed landscape it represents. Thus, we crafted a big and robust design that perfectly embodies the spirit of Skye's rugged terrain. This distinctive bottle not only pays homage to the island's natural wonders but also serves as a captivating vessel for our exceptional gin, encapsulating the essence of Skye within each pour.
Capturing the island.
When creating images for Isle of Skye Distillers, our aim was to authentically capture the essence of this extraordinary location. Inspired by the bold and majestic landscape of Skye, we carefully chose a big and impactful font that resonates with the island's rugged character. Each image was meticulously selected, ensuring that it directly featured the awe-inspiring beauty of Skye itself. From the mist-shrouded hills to the breathtaking cliffs and serene lochs, every photograph proudly represents the true essence of Skye. We wanted to showcase the undeniable connection between Misty Isle Gin and its remarkable birthplace, instilling a deep sense of pride in our product's origin and celebrating the extraordinary nature of this remarkable Scottish isle.
