Events
Branding, filming, print, and digital experiences for conferences and live events.
Overview
Events have become a major part of my role at Hymans Robertson, combining branding, print production, digital screen animation, and video creation. Since first filming a recap video at our 2019 Risk Transfer event, event filming has grown into a wider team capability, with multiple designers now trained to capture footage on-site. Over the years, events have continued to grow in scale, with some now welcoming over 400 attendees across multiple spaces and stages.
Alongside filming, I prepare artwork for large-scale print, including vinyls, signage, stage graphics, and digital screens. My previous experience working on print products at Hasbro gave me a strong understanding of print setup, sizing, and production, helping ensure event assets work effectively at scale and within different venues.
Below are a few selected event projects, starting with the Creating a Legacy 2026 event which involved a lot of vinyl setup for print.

DB Future Focus
This event marked a turning point in how we approached event filming, as it was the first time another designer travelled with me to help capture additional b-roll footage while I focused on speakers, interviews, and wider event coverage. The scale of the event had grown significantly, with multiple rooms and talks happening simultaneously.
The venue provided opportunities for both large-scale print and digital content. One of the key challenges was designing for a large multi-screen digital display made up of eight connected screens, requiring careful setup to ensure branding and agenda content played seamlessly across the full display.
The visual concept used flowing red and yellow squiggle lines to represent movement, innovation, technology, and interconnected thinking, reflecting the constantly evolving future of pensions and investment.

Final result
The recap video extended the reach of the event and reinforced Hymans Robertson’s thought leadership, while the event itself marked an important milestone in scaling our internal filming capabilities and event production.
The design at the conference had a real wow factor and looked fantastic in the promotional phase and on the day. I’ve noticed that competitors have really stepped up the design elements of their own conferences, which I think is because of your work on last year’s DC conference and this most recent one.
You were also really professional on the day of the conference, working throughout the day to capture footage and interviews for the highlights video which you edited and produced with no edits from our team, showing you really understand what we’re looking for. Whatever project you work on I always know that we’ll be in safe/skilled hands and that the design output will be on point and always exceed expectations. You’re a real asset to the business Ryan!

Creating a legacy
This was our largest event of 2025. While the event concept and branding were created by the wider team, I prepared all artwork for print production, including stage graphics and large-format assets across the venue.

Final result
I filmed and edited the final recap video, supported by two designers capturing additional b-roll footage throughout the day. The event was a major success internally and showcased the increasing scale and ambition of our event production.
Various other events
LGPS Conference
The LGPS Conference explored the future of pensions through a travel-inspired concept centred around looking ahead. Lanyards were designed like boarding passes and stamped on entry, reinforcing the theme of going on a journey. I created the event branding and filmed the recap video.
Future of Retirement Savings Conference
For this event, I created the branding and filmed the recap video, using bold typography across digital screens and event materials. Spot varnish on black lanyards created a premium finish, helping the gradient details stand out within the venue lighting.

Your contribution had such a positive impact on the success of the LGPS Conference. The bespoke brand you developed not only made the event visually distinctive but also created a unified experience across the digital and physical platforms. Internal stakeholders were particularly impressed with the bespoke staging and impactful presentation slides
